Abstrakt		One of the most serious complications of laparoscopic cholecystectomy is certainly the injury of bile ducts. The estimated incidence lies between 0,1 and 0,6%. The treatment of biliary injuries is either conservative or by operation, mostly the treatment is a combination of both modalities. ln major bile duct injuries best results are achieved after immediate repair performed by an experienced "biliary" surgeon, who takes over and accomplish the operative procedure. Patients with delayed onset of symptoms should be referred to hepatobiliary unit giving them the opportunity of interdisciplinary approach and offering optimal surgical support by experienced "biliary" surgeons.
