Abstrakt		According to more than 20-years experience in laparoscopy, the article presents the role of laparoscopic cholecystectomy (LC) as a method of gallbladder disease treatment at the surgical department of General Hospital Slovenj Gradec in year 2002. The overtaking role of LC versus classic cholecystectomy in years 1996 - 2000 is presented on diagram. Furthermore the article describes the preoperative diagnostics, acute/chronic cholecystitis - cholecystectomy ratio and complications with the following discussion.
