Abstrakt     Cutaneous reactions are among the most trequenuy ooservea reacnons to drugs. The majority of reactions are mild, accompanied by pruritus, resolving promptly after the offending drug is discontinued. Severe, lifethreatening cutaneous drug reactions (CDRs) do occur and are unpredictible. Prompt identification of CDRs. withdrawal of the offending agent and therapeutic intervention may help to limit the total toxicity associated with the drug. Drug eruptions can mimic virtually all the morphologic expresions in dermatology and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of any symmetric cutaneous eruption with sudden onset in a patient who takes medications. Careful history. laboratory and histologic findings may help in differential diagnostic workup to establish a diagnosis of CDRs. Rechallenge with the offending drug would in most cases give definitive proof. In the article, the most common CDRs and their principal differential diagnostic considerations are described.
