Abstrakt		The International Council of Nurses, best known as ICN, was founded over a century ago, to bring the nurses of the world together and to set standards for the profession. Today, national nurses associations in 125 nations are members of ICN. This means ICN represents millions of nurses worldwide. ICN works to set standards of nursing practice, education, management and research, and to strengthen the contribution of nurses to health systems at all levels. The size and diversity of our membership reflect the varied environments in which nurse's work to improve the health of populations.
