Abstrakt		The use of information tehnology in nursing care is not yet very well introduce in Slovenia. Except in nursing home care there is no independent information system for nursing care. In health and social institutions, health resorts nurses gather informations in nursig care for needs in information system of institution. Infonnations are various from institution to institution. Next to continue follows an introduction of informations which were gathered with a confined tip of questionnaire and send to all head nurses in health and social institutions and health resorts in Slovenia in June 2003. In some institutions they already have nurses who are qualified for informatics in nursing care. Nurses are expressing need of knowledge in nursing informatics and a quality cooperation between experts in computer centers. A big problem in the developmentof nursing informatics are the insuitable, defective hardware and software in different units of nursing care.
