Abstrakt		Functionality of health care information system depends on understanding of healthcare organization policies and procedures. The collaboration and good communication between nurses and information technology professionals are very important in all phases of nursing information system procurement. The aim of this paper is to present the realities of successful development and implementation of nursing information system and our experiences in University Medical Centre Ljubljana.
