Abstrakt     We determined the content of lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), copper (Cu) and zinc (Zn) by flame atomic absorption spectrophotometry in tissues of salmonids. We analyzed meat with skin in natural proportion, kidney, liver and head of brown trouts (Salmo trutta m. fario), marble trouts (Salmo marmoratus), rainbow trouts (Oncorhynclrus mykiss) and marble and brown trout crossbreed. Fishes were caught in different Slovenian rivers mostly in Sava and her aflluents. We found significant differences in metal content between different parts of fish. The metals were mostly accumulated in liver and kidney. In the majority of meat and head samples the concentration of Pb and Cd did not exceed the limit of detection. The highest concentrations of Pb and Cd were found in fish samples caught in rivers and brooks from Mežiška valley. The contents of metals in samples of fishes were in accordance with the literature data.
