Abstrakt     The influence of vaccine against Gumboro disease (Gumbokal, Pliva), which was given to 12-day-old broilers, on the acitivity of two liver microsomal monooxygenases (ethylmorphine N-demethylase and aniline hydroxylase) was examined. It was observed that the tested vaccine markedly depressed the activity of two liver microsomal enzymes in the first 2 days, respectively 5 days after vaccination. The level of enzyme activity was by 60-86 per cent lower in the vaccinated group. The relative liver weight was 10 per cent lower in tested broilers 48 hours after vaccination and slightly raised in the next 3 days (108 per cent). In the first two days after vaccination the weight gain was transitory and slightly depressed. The inhibitory effect of vaccine against Gumboro disease on the microsomal enzyme activity may be a risk for broilers treated with liposoluble drugs of a small therapeutic index, e.g. ionofore antibiotics, which are biotransformed by liver monooxygenases
