Abstrakt		The osmotic fragility of erythrocytes of sexually immature 21-weel-old and sexually mature 156-week-old guinea-fows was determined. The erythrocytes of the older birds were more fragile than those of the younger birds. The mean corpuscular volume (MCV) was similar in the two age groups suggesting that the difference in osmotic fragility could not be related to the red cell volume. The red blood cell count, packed cell volume and haemoglobin concentration were identical in the two age groups
