Abstrakt		Primary headache disorders may cause temporary sickness absence from work. 74 cases of sickness absence (0,20 % of all absences) were registered in the year 2003 in LjubIjana region of the Health Insurance Institute of Slovenia where the leading diagnoses were G43, G44.2 or R51; 32 cases were men and 42 women. They were 40,42 years old in average (SD ± 9,91). The average duration of sickness absence was 83,39 days (SD ± 63,16). The reason for such a long duration was waiting for the results of diagnostic procedures. At last they were negative. The causes for subjective symptoms must be searched for in the families of employees and also with the assistance of the occupational psychologist in organisational factors and stress at work.
