Abstrakt		The article describes an approach to reengineering of material supply processes. A particularity thar had to be taken into consideration was the facr rhat Clinical Cenrre Ljubljana is a public institurion (non-profir organisation) with over 6000 employees. In such environments, it is much more difficult to introduce changes than in industrial organisations. We applied the method of first providing up-todate information support and then implementing changes through software solutions. A similar situation occurs when integrated information systems (e.g. BAAN, SAP) are purchased, and in order to introduce them, we have to adapt our business process.
