Abstrakt		This article deals briefly with typical features of all endocrinological emergencies, except the complications of diabetes. Clinical manifestations, diagnostics and treatment of thyroid storm, myxedema coma and adrenal crisis are presented. Severe hypercalcemia and severe hyponatremia are mentioned, as well. Each disorder necessitates immediate, aggressive measures which should be instituted on the basis of strong clinical suspicion without waiting for hormonal results. In spite of all that, the mortality rate remains high.
