Abstrakt     Besides the basic meal composed of pasture ad libitum, 1 kg of hay, 8.5 kg and 8.0 kg maize silage, respectively, 4 kg feeding mixture and mineralvitamine mixture ad libitum, in two feeding trials 30 and 20 cows of Friesian breed were studied in order to determine nutritional and energetic value of tapioca in comparison with maize ground and beet pulp, and their effects on the haematological and biochemical parameters in blood. In 1989 the cows were additionally given, as follows: 1.6 kg maize ground, group I (control group), 1 kg tapioca + 0.6 kg maize ground, group II, 1.6 kg tapioca + 0.20 kg soya meal, group III. In 1990 the cows were additionally fed with: 3.7 kg dry beet pulp, group I (control group), 1 .2 kg tapioca + 2.5 kg dry beet pulp, group II. At the end of the trials no significant differences were found in the examinated parameters of the blood serum and blood respectively. Positive and negative differences among groups with tapioca and control ones were not statistically significant for none of the examined parameters. Larger but non-significant were differences in the number of leucocytes in the blood. In our trials with tapioca optimal values for biochemical and haematollgical parameters regarding standards were determined at the end of the trial in 1989 for group II, which was fed with 1 kg of tapioca + 0.6 kg maize ground besides the basic meal.
