Abstrakt		The aim. Results of 140 consecutive cases of prostate cancer operated by laparoscopic approach. Methods. All patients were operated by transabdominal approach and Montsouris technique. The patients are in Trandelenburgh position under 35-400. Preoperatively all patients got thromboprofilaktic prevention with low molecular heparin. Antibiotic profilaxis we did not use regulary. Results. In 140 operated patients the average operating time was 220 min. (115-345). In two patients we have major complications, lesion of the rectum in one and lesion of the urether in second one. The average blood loss was 410 ml. In four cases we did conversion into the open procedure. The catheter removal average was 6,6 days and hospital stay average was 8,8 days in our patient group. In 32% we detected a positive surgical margin due to a pathohistological result after the procedure. After catheter removal we have 86,4% completely continent patients. Conclusion. Results in 140 operated patients with localised cancer done with laparoscopical method were good and comparable with the results of other authors. The method is safe and more comfortable for patients.
