Abstrakt		The article describes the advantages of MRI imaging of the heart, which are gaining importance in diagnostics of cardiovascular diseases. It comprises the description of contraindications for MR imaging. Precise patient position and the appropriate selection ot sequences and planes enables optimal images in short time. In the last part of the article indications for cardiovascular MRI are listed.
