Abstrakt     Hairs are growing from hair follicles which are in the subcutaneous fat. Hair cycle is regulated by dermal papilla and is divided into three phases: anagen, catagen and telogen. Androgenetic alopecia is the most common scalp disease. It is caused by androgens and is treated mith 2% solution of minoxidil, in men also with finasteride and in momen with antiandrogens Alopecia areata is considered as autoimmune disease, and mostly affects scalp but can also affect hairy skin. It is treated with 2% or 5% solution of minoxidil, corticosteroids, immunosuppressive drugs and phototherapy Telogen effluvium is triggered by many factors, such are drugs, stress, infections thyroid dysfunction, systemic diseases... It is self limited, lasts from several months to several years and does not need to be treated.
