Abstrakt | The first iniciative to regulate the protection of patient data in the University Medical Center Ljubljana gave the nurses working at the central reception desk in the year 2001. They became aware of the need for clear instructions. A draft document entitled »Statement on the Disclosure of Personal and Medical Data« was done. It is fulfiled by admitting patient or children's parent or guardian. It contains questions about information of his/her care, readiness to recieve visits and wishes regarding the disclosure of his personal and medical data to other people. These data are accesible to authorized personnel in the ward; it is partly possible to check the identity of the person who is interesting to have these informations. The completed forms are suitable for computer processing. The procedure has been implemented for two years with moderate succes.
Podatki so prirejeni za računalniški vnos in obdelavo. Po dveh letih je postopek deloma zaživel.
