Abstrakt		Technical devices are indispensable for easier and more functional life of people with movement disorders. The type and model of the device prescribed depend on functional abilities, everyday activities and home environment of the person. In order to prescribe the device, it is necessary to have detailed information on the person's functional abilities, as well as to adjust the device according to person's needs, provide accurate instructions for use and, if necessary, perform the training for use. ln the article the most important groups of technical devices, their characteristics and indications for prescription are discussed. Adequately chosen technical devices can significantly improve the quality of life of people with movement disorders. Precise information on charactertstics of technical devices and person's functional abilities are essential for adequate prescription. Legislation limitations for prescription of devices on health insurance expenses many times make it difficult to obtain adequate, functional devices of good quality.
