Abstrakt		Presented are achievements in the field of prosthetics driving assessment of and car adaptation and wheelchairs developments. In the future probably the CAD-CAM systems will replace the classical prostheses and orthoses manufacturing using plaster. Plastering a part af the patient's body might be very time-consuming operation due to the plaster drying and weight. The development of the technology has brought many advantages like repeatability of the process, a possibility of changing or updating digitalized models and at last the comprehensive database that can be accessed remotely, including the patient's medical record. The future of the handy scanner devices would be in mobility of the applied system This will be appreciated by clinical staff as well as by patient's whose travel wauld be unnecessary. Another option that is also worth attention is integration to the communication network that will allow selected clinical stations equipped with standstill scanning system to perform measurements and provide data to the CAM centre using wideband communication network. Short information about wheelchair development is presented, now and in the future. Information is given also about assessment for driving of persons with special needs based on Mediatester and car adaptation.
