Abstrakt		The achievements of Slovenian pharmaceutical terminology which has been recognised and accepted in all spheres of pharmaceutical activities were presented at the international scientific meeting "Terminology at the Time of Globalization". The basis for pharmaceutical terminology is the Formularium Slovenicum. Great attention is paid to the Slovenian naming of medicinal substances which has to be primarily informative, useful and, when the language permits, simple; at the same time the names should be unambiguous and uniform. Consulting the approaches of other national nomenclature bodies is also helpful in the process. We take into consideration the structure of international nonproprietary names (INN), chemical properties of active substances, and also the particularities of the Slovenian language.
