Abstrakt		Reason for protocol of postoperative surveillance is to identify grafts at risk of thrombosis (particulary important for vein grafts) and recognition and managemet of infected prosthetic arterial grafts.Techniques for surveillance are: physical examination, doppler-derived pressuremeasurements, blood flow velocity measurement and duplex scanning. Local and sistemic signs are helpfull in recognition of prosthetic infection. It is necessary to divide acute from chronic graft infection.
