Abstrakt		In elderly population the incidence of proximal humeral fractures is increasing. Due to osteoporosis surgical treatment of displaced fractures is more difficult. New angular-stable implants (plates and nails) enable more stable fixation of those fractures and early post-operative physiotherapy. In cases when osteosynthesis is not possible shoulder hemiartroplasty is indicated.
