Abstrakt		Non-traumatic abdominal aorta emergencies (rupture of an aneurysm or pseudoaneurysm, aortic dissection, acute thrombosis) and trauma are life threatening conditions. The therapeutic success is dependent on the accuracy of imaging modalities. After a preliminary diagnosis with ultrasound contrast enhanced spiral computed tomography is the most reliable modality for imaging of abdominal aorta emergencies. In hemodynamically unstable patients only US should be performed.
