Abstrakt		Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is known to be a chronic disorder with one of the most seriously courses of the illness in childhood and adolescent period. It is of great importance for the children and adolescents the growing period that the disease is recognised and treated in the early stage when the treatment is far more effective and serious complications of the disease like growth deceleration with short stature and abertal delay can be prevented. As the underlying pathogenetic mechanism of the disese remains unclear and the etiology-based treatment couldn't have been discovered yet, we can only use standard anti-inflammatory treatment. In the recent years, the biological treatment which has been shown to be more successful than standard anti-inflammatory treatment, has being increasingly used also in the treatment of inammatory bowel disaese in children and adolescents. The current strategies in the treatment of inflammatory owel disease in children and adolescents have been introduced in this review article.
