Abstrakt		BIood Transfusion Centre of Slovenia is a public health institution. It was established in 1955. Legislation requirements, especially the Directive 2002/98/EC for blood establishments, have led the management to the decision to implement a quality system and to confirm it with the Certificate ISO 9001:2000. The institute successfully passed the ISO 9001:2000 certification procedure at the end of the year 2004. This article describes the activities on this project.
