Abstrakt | Zdravstveni dom Novo Mesto (ZDNM) has been working on better and more quality operating. It has also been improving all its procedures. All the efforts were repaid by receiving the ISO standard in 2004. First of all, it was necessary for the executive board to realise that quality is important, why it is important, how it can help us and where it can lead us. Then, the mistrust and sometimes even the objections of the employees needed to be eliminated. This was achieved with a constant education and training of the employees about the quality. Since every beginning is difficult, we also encountered some problems that needed to be beaten. Sometimes, a wrong step was made but it only made us stronger. Many activities were introduced. The initial directive to only prepare the management to the certification was changed and expanded to the whole institution, even the health care. In the future, most of the work needs to be done on this field. | |
