Abstrakt		Autogenous tooth transplantation, or autotransplantation, is the surgical movement of a tooth from one location in the mouth to another in the same individual. Once thought to be experimental, autotransplantation has achieved high success rates and is an excellent option for tooth replacement. Although the indications for autotransplantation are narrow, careful patient selection coupled with an appropriate technique can lead to exceptional aesthetic and functional results.
Izvleček		Avtotransplantacija zoba je postopek, pri katerem zob vzamemo iz njegovega ležišča v ustni votlini in ga prestavimo na drugo mesto v ustih iste osebe. V preteklosti je prevladovalo prepričanje, da gre pri tem le za poizkuse, danes pa vemo, da je avtotransplantacija uspešna metoda za nadomeščanje zoba. Čeprav so indikacije ozko omejene, lahko z dobro izbiro bolnlka in z uporabo pravilne tehnike dosežemo odlične funkcionalne in estetske rezultate pri nadomeščanju manjkajočih zob.
