Abstrakt		The recommendations for prevention and control of influenza are summarized. The basic data on the influenza vaccine and target groups for annual influenza vaccination are presented. Although vaccination remains the cornerstone for the control of influenza, the circumstances are described where the use of antiviral drugs for prevention and treatment of influenza should be considered. The possibilities to use immunoprofylaxis or antiviral drugs for prevention or treatment of others acute viral respiratory infections are presented.
