Abstrakt     Disinfection is the destruction of pathogenic microorganisms in water. There are many chemical agents that effect disinfection, the most important are chlorine, chlorine dioxide and ozone. Their characteristics and chemical reactions in the process of disinfection will be represented in this lecture.
