Abstrakt		In the paper home telecare system is presented aiming at supporting vulnerable people to stay in their home environment getting some support at a distance and additional by local community based services. The author propose that telecare approach is considered in the concept of »smart house« design. The concept of telecare is explained by the Slovene telecare experience - application called "Lifeline" or "red button". In the future more telemedical solution will be incorporated what imposes additional requirements to telecare service planners and "smart-house" designers.
