Abstrakt		The paper presents the nursing of patients with extensive burns according to nursing care standards, with special stress on the most frequent nursing diagnosis. These are made individually, directed toward the identification of the nursing probtem involving the patient with extensive burns, and concentrated on decisions regarding nursing interventions, planned results and evaluation. In the extensive burn patient, the perfect functioning of the burn team is crucial for the functioning of high-quatity nursing care. It contributes to a better use of the available knowledge and capacity of all team members. Teamwork also offers the possibility of reaching a higher level of quality in nursing care.
