Abstrakt     The medications applied in routine cancer treatment, e.g. cytostatics, hormones and target agents, have a toxic effect on the veins. Vascular toxicity is divided into five types: vaso-occlusive disease, thrombotic microangiopathy, venous and/or arterial thrombosis, vascular ischemia, and hemorrhage. The prediction which of the above toxicities will be the most expressed depends upon the type of applied agent, its dose, cumulative dose and the length of patients exposition to the agent.
