Abstrakt		The understanding of oxygen transport system is very important in everyday clinical practice. All three oxygen transport systems should be evaluated i. e. the lungs that enable oxygen transport from the atmosphere to the blood; sufficient amount of functionally efficient haemoglobin for oxygen transport should be determined and minute cardiac volume evaluated. For the suffcient systemic oxygen transport adequate minute cardiac volume is necessary together with optimal saturotion of arterial blood and sufficient quantity of haemoglobin. The measurement and evaluation of systemic oxygen transport in clinical practice are presented.
