Abstrakt		The majority of children and teenagers with moderate and severe deficiencies in physical and mental development first come into contact with computers in the institutions. This is why the introduction to the use of computer should be carried out well and planned to prevent a child or teenager from being intimidated by it. Therapist makes the child's or teenager's first contact with a computer in a gentle and friendly way; the child or teenager tries to use computer spontaneously for the first time, the responsibility for the success depends on the therapist. It is important that the decision for the use of computer is the child's choice. With the right motivation the child or teenager gets to know all the possibilities a computer offers, they should recognize it as a tool in their future work (from the point of view of therapy and in their free time). The article presents the use of computer in occupational therapy as well as the use of the internet as a source of various information.
