Abstrakt		The majority of urinary calculi pass the urinary system spontaneously. The most important is to make a precise evaluation of the indications for conservative measures and to decide on time for active treatment. The most important measure in the prophylaxis of urinary stone disease is dietary advice. Patients shuld be kept to a high fluid intake and inereased diuresis, regardless of etiology of the lithiasis. Urine alkalization is of most importance for medical treatment in patients with uric acid and cystine stones. With adequate medical treatment we can prevent the formation of calcium urolithiasis
