Abstrakt		Paracetamol is a widely used and considering a correct dosage, a relatively safe analgetic. Overdosage can be fatal without proper treatment due to acute liver failure. Early N-acetylcysteine treatment is important after ingestion of hepatotoxic dose of paracetamol; both, oral and intravenous regimen of NAC application are effective. In case of acute live failure a timely start of eventual liver transplantation procedure is importat.
