Abstrakt     Wholesome drinking water is one of the main demand of water intended for human consumption. With the drinking water quality many of risk factors are related. The most important of them are organic parameters. The main groups of potential karcinogenic organic contaminants which can be presented in drinking water are pesticides, highly and middle volatile organic compounds. The most common inorganic contaminants in drinking water are lead, aluminium, zinc, iron, manganese, rarely toxic elements like cadmium, arsenic, mercury. Control of the quality of drinking water is organized on different levels. According to the legislation the operator of a public supply system must ensure internal control, On the state level, Monitoring of the quality of water intended for human consumption is carried out.
