Abstrakt		This paper presents the description of the hitherto unknown larva of Polycentropus schmidi Novak & Botosaneanu, 1965. Information on the morphological identification of this species is given, and the most important diagnostic features are illustrated. A synoptic determination key for all known Central European larvae of Polycentropus is presented. Some notes on the species' distribution in Europe as well as on habitat characteristics are included.
