Abstrakt		After six years a group of 83 citizens was examined again. With some of the examined persons who had had a rheumatic arthritis (RA) according to ARA criterions the disease ceased, whereas with the others the desease was developed during that time. For the sake of a better further treatment all the men and women younger than 40 were excluded. So a group of 62 examined women was treated according to RA and New York (NY) criterions. According to the ARA criterions the pains in the joints were an unimportant sign, whereas acrording to N ' they were an important one. Some anamnessis data, such as: thecmorning torpidity of joints, the swelling of joints and symmetrical sweling were on important sign according to ARA. There were no clinical sign, rheumatic knots according to ARA criterions but the clinical signs according to NY criterions were important. X-ray and serological signs were chararteristic at both criterions. For diagnosis RA the new, revised ARA criterions are recommended to the doctor in a general practice.
