Abstrakt		In the lower respiratory system the morphologic changes were classified into three groups: changes not characteristic specifically as a reaction to asbestos fibres (infiammatory reaction and hyperplasia of the lymphatic trssue), changes which may be the result of asbestos inhalation but are not diagnostic (proliferation of alveolar macrophages and intraalveolar haemorrhages), and changes typical of asbestos exposure (asbestos fibres). As in the case of subepithelial stroma, the pathologic changes were more pronounced in all animals after 3 months.
