Abstrakt		Health care system: is strongly connected with the whole nntional econonTic developntent. Becnuse ofits special nnture, decision makers have difficult assignment how to choose the best variants and defined criteria. PROMETHEE is computer supported method of multidimensional evaluation of scennrios (criteria) which can be used as decision aid in the health care plnnning. Compared to the other methods, its supplies so called outranking list of decisions as result. The decision maker has a possibility to view the whole set of possible solutions. The most attractive pnrt of the PROMETHEE method is permanent dialogue between analyst and decision maker. In this way decision making is not a static single-step procedure with fixed input data. The dynamic and adaptable nature of the method is especially useful in health careplanning because ofits many qualitative aspects which cannot be expressed in physical or monetary measures. The aim ofthispaper is topresent PROMETHEE not as a black box but as an instrument to faciliate the decision making process.
