Abstrakt     Outcome assessment in the evaluation of treatment and rehabilitation of persons with low back disorders contains clinical evaluation, functional capacity evaluation and outcome measures in the form of questionnaires which reflect a patient's subjective view of the health condition. It is now commonly agreed that five domains should be included in a core set of outcome measures: back-specific function, generic health status (including psychosocial aspect), pain, work disability, and patient satisfaction. According to biopsychosocial model of low back pain and International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health, the aspect of environmental factors should also be covered, but most commonly used outcome measures barely do so. Until now in Slovenia only a few outcome measures have been tested for their validity and reliability. The study of psychometric properties of the three in Slovene language translated outcome measures (Oswestry Disability Index, Brief Pain Inventory, SF 36) showed that they were suitable for use in Slovenia.
