Abstrakt		CLostridium difficile is the most important cause of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea. The clinical picture of the disease, the frequency of occurrence of the infection with Clostridium difficile, the diagnostic tests and the treatment are described. The importance of Clostridium difficile as a nosocomial pathogen is especially underfined.
