Abstrakt     The nursing sister has a significant role in the integral management of a child with juvenile idiopathic arthritis. In working with children it is necessary to have a good knowledge of the disease and the specifics of nursing care, cooperate in the diagnostic-therapeutic and educational programme and also offer emotional and psychological support to children and their parents. Juvenile idiopathic arthritis is a chronic disease of children, which affects the joints and is accompanied by symptoms in other organic systems. During medical treatment there can be frequent improvement and relapses of the disease, depending on the type of arthritis, which the child suffers from. Sometimes disease relapses can be caused by infections, but usually the cause of relapses is unknown.
