Abstrakt		Thoughts about the potential future treatment of brain injuries are summarized in this article. Most promising results come from the research in the field of hormonal neuroprotection in the acute phase after an injury as well from the research in the field of stem cells transplantation. Stimulative patient's environment which includes rehabilitation interventions nevertheless remains the key for the enhanced neuroplasticity of the central neural system.
