Abstrakt		The results of Pb, Cd and As residue contents in cow milk from Slovenia are presented for the period from 1982 to 1992. During 10 years 287 samples of milk from 35 different places of Slovenia were analysed. All analysed samples are within the limits of our official tolerances for Pb, Cd and As in milk. The contents of Pb, Cd and As were under detection limits for most of the samples. Only some samples showed slightly higher Pb content. We have proposed lower tolerances for all three elements, but only for Pb it has been accepted. The tolerance for Pb in milk is now 0.01 mg/kg. Tolerances for Cd and As are still unchanged, 0.01 mg/kg for Cd, 0.1 mg/kg for As and in our opinion they are too high.
