Abstrakt     Bioscientists define trace elements as a group of elements which occur in animal and plant tissues at concentrations ranging from several hundred microg/g to barely detectable levels in the range of pg/g. Infancy is probably the most demanding life period in terms of meeting the body's nutritional requirements. The problem of trace element deficiency is especially important in infants and children since normal growth and development on a sufficient intake of trace elements through nutrition.
