Abstrakt		Background. During the last decade, the treatment of ovarian cancer has changed significantly. Operations have become more radical. Beside the intraabdominal spreading of malignant growth, the consideration is also taken for the lymphatic path of spreading into the retroperitoneal lymph glands. Methods and results. Treatment of 90 patients with primary ovarian cancer was analysed. In 37 patients pelvic and paraaortal lymphadenectomy was carried out. In 17 (46 per cent ) of these patients metastases were detected in the retroperitoneal lymph glands, in the pelvic in 14 cases (38 per cent ) and in the paraaortal glands in 11 cases (30 per cent ). In the first stage of the disease metastases were found in the pelvic retroperitoneal lymph glands in 4 cases (11 per cent ).
