Abstrakt		Background. The use of unconventional methods of prevention, diagnostics therapy and rehabilitation in the developed countries is rising in spite of certain disadvantages that have been attributed to the unconventional medicine. The extent of these activities here urges us to decide about their future. Methods. The author analyses the causes of the popularity and situation world-wide as well in Slovenia and forecasts further rise of nonconventional medicine. Condusions. He states that the unconventional medicine is neither officially nor legally supported so he suggests some measures to be done in order to guarranty the patients' safety. Only by implementing those medical fraud can be prevented and the effective unconventional methods can be integrated into the global medicine.
