Abstrakt		Background. A review is given on the diagnostic methods of allergic (atopic) diseases with special attention to those methods used at our everyday work in out patients departmentsfor allergology as well as in hospital. Methods. The method applied are illustrated by the analysis of authors' own material during 1992. The pilot study is presented together with the assessment of each test out of them the prick tests prevail. Condusions. The diagnosis of allergic disease is based upon the detailed allergological case history and skin prick tests. In vitro tests are applied less frequently and very selectively.
